I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with long time friend and master letterpress printer Brady Vest of Hammerpess on the opening print of their 
new project "Friends of Hammerpress". I am honored to have provided the initial artwork for this project. 

Our collaboration zoomed in on a detail from one of my larger textile works. Each print went through the press 10 times, building subtle layers of white, off white and hot acid reds. The final pass on the print was inspired by black and white vintage ticking fabric. It was produced from actual fabric pieces I had sewn together and then made into a printing plate. This final visual element frames in the image and gives it a sense of balance. I could not be happier with the outcome of this collaboration.
